Oman experiences a tropical desert climate with year-round high temperatures and aridity, where summer averages exceed 40°C, accompanied by intense UV radiation and frequent sandstorms. To address these harsh conditions, we have deployed over 1,400 solar streetlights (model BCT-OLC2.0-B, 50W) along highways and residential communities, covering high-traffic zones and resident activity areas to ensure nighttime road safety and illuminate pathways for local residents.
The fixtures feature IP65-rated waterproof sealing and aluminum alloy die-cast housing to block sand ingress. Built-in high-temperature resistant lithium batteries (-40°C to 70°C) are tailored to Oman’s 30°C diurnal temperature fluctuations. The implementation of this solar streetlight project further advances the integration of smart city initiatives and green infrastructure.
